Recruitment company Randstad have published a report on Women in the Construction Industry following on from their Women in Work report which looked at gender divide and equal pay.
Key statistics are that:
- Women are expected to make 1/4 of the UK’s construction workforce by 2020
- Attitudes towards equal pay and workplace flexibility still persist
- Pay packets have risen 6% per year for women in the industry
- 41% still believe they earn less than men on the job
