Engineering Diversity

 

Applications are invited for a University Assistant Professorship in Applied Mechanics. Relevant research fields include, but are not limited to, dynamics and vibrations, impact mechanics, computational mechanics, "green machines", robotics and sustainability.

The role-holder will be expected to provide innovative teaching in mechanics, contributing to undergraduate courses, laboratory coursework, supervising undergraduate projects, examining and supervising of post-graduate students.

The post is linked with Churchill College, and the successful applicant will be expected to take up a Fellowship at Churchill College, making contributions to their college teaching.

In exceptional circumstances, it may be possible to offer a small supplement to the salary range stated for this role for a five-year period. Any such supplement would be awarded on the basis of a demonstrable history of exceptional achievement and is entirely at the discretion of the University.

The position is based in the Engineering Department in Central Cambridge.
