Below is a range of networks, resources and events which may interest you if you identify as LGBTQ+.

If you don't identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or other minority gender identities and sexual orientations, but would like to know more about, get involved with, or support the LGBT+ Staff Network, contact equality@admin.cam.ac.uk.

transEDU have also produced resources and information for supporting trans, non-binary and gender diverse applicants, students and staff in Further and Higher Education.

 

University Networks, Events and Resources

LGBTQ+ Network 

LGBTQ+ Network provides information and support to staff, assists with the coordination of diversity events and helps the University to progress equality. The Network also provides informal buddying and mentoring initiatives and links to LGBT+ communities. There is a formal email list to keep you posted on events as well as a website.

CUSU LGBT+ website 

CUSU LGBT+ is the homepage of the Cambridge University Student Union LGBT+ campaign, covering a range of social and educational events.

LGBTQ+ Resources and Collections [Libguides] 

This link offers an entry point to resources and collections across the University of Cambridge that focus on various aspects of LGBTQ+ studies.

A Central News Area 

This link covers a digest of LGBTQ+ stories from across the University.

College Reps

For support outside the Department, students can contact their LGBTQ+ Officer at their college JCR/MCR. 

 

External Networks and Resources

CamQueerHistory 

CamQueerHistory is a volunteer collective of people in Cambridge who are interested in organising events about queer and LGBTQ+ histories. 

ENCOMPASS NETWORK 

ENCOMPASS NETWORK is a network promoting a better quality of life for LGBTQ+ people in Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas by enabling networking and capacity building for the LGBTQ+ voluntary and community sector.

Pride in STEM 

Pride in STEM is a charity run by an independent group of LGBTQ+ scientists and engineers from around the world, aiming to showcase and support all LGBTQ+ people in STEM fields. 

MindOut

They work to improve the mental health and wellbeing of all LGBTQ+ communities and to make mental health a community concern.
