Engineering Diversity

Wikipedia is one of the most-used websites in the world, and is an important resource for science. This event will train attendees to contribute to and improve the coverage of notable underrepresented scientists on Wikipedia.

Dr Jess Wade (physics postdoc at Imperial College London) and Dr Alice White (Wikimedian in Residence at the Wellcome Library) will be leading the session.  Dr Jess Wade was recently elected as one of Nature's 10 People Who Mattered This Year and has received fantastic news coverage of her recent efforts, given that she has written hundreds Wikipedia pages to increase the visibility of female and underrepresented scientists.
