Engineering Diversity

You are all invited to meet and speak to Dr Lonnie Johnson in the Board room at 11am, Thursday 28 September over teas, coffees and biscuits.

The Royal Society have invited Dr Johnson from the US to talk about his career as an engineer and innovator. From winning a national school competition for building a robot, his career has taken him from the U.S. Air force to NASA to inventing the popular toys, the ‘supersoaker’ and nerf gun. Dr Johnson was first African American to enter the Alabama Engineering Hall of Fame.
